Trekker chase
In our neighborhood the secondary mode of transport was on a vehicle called trekker or tucker. People used to rely on these because the state owned buses were less in service. Since there weren't that many vehicles for public transport in my area and it was difficult for people to get around places.
During peak hours it was difficult to get a seat , and if you don't get a seat you are forced to hold on to the rail at the back and hang on until you reach the stop you want to get down. In a way that was adventurous and fun.
There was competition between the trekkers for getting the passengers at the next stop, so they are generally in a hurry.
So whenever they get a chance to overtake another they take that chance by all means!
Now looking back travelling on it was fun!
